Bridget_small_9739Bridget Doyle received both her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and her master’s degree in Social Work from DePaul University. Her specific area of focus is working with expectant parents in planning for their baby/babies, adjustment to parenthood, women with high-risk pregnancies, and working with families with premature babies and other complex medical diagnoses. Bridget pulls from her background in Early Childhood Education when working with families.

Other clinical areas of interest for Bridget are supporting families through adoption and surrogacy. In addition to women and perinatal health, Bridget has also worked as an oncology social worker, working with patients and families adjusting to terminal illness and end of life issues. She is able to work with and support the entire family, and has experience working with patients transitioning and adjusting throughout the lifecycle. Previously, Bridget has been on staff at many local hospitals as a licensed social worker: University of Chicago, Glenbrook Hospital, Evanston Hospital and Lutheran General.

In addition to The Blossom Method, Bridget currently works as a licensed clinical social worker in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Northwestern Memorial Prentice Women’s Hospital. Bridget is a member of the National Association of Perinatal Social Workers, National Association of Social Workers, and is a board member of the Chicago District Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care.

Bridget has also completed the Postpartum Support International Certificate Training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
